I work 8am to 4pm (but mostly work until 5pm for some paid overtime). My hobby is the gym and, if any of you know the gym life, 5pm is the very busy time so I choose to get up at 4:45am to be in for 5am when it's quiet and I can get my workout done much more efficiently.
My wife is self employed and works until around 8pm almost every weekday. She gets up at sometime after 8am.
By 8pm, I am wiped out. I can barely keep my eyes open. So when my wife finishes work (at home) she, understandably, wants to sit and watch an episode of something together but I can't make it through at all.
When I want to get to bed, she gets pissed that we haven't spent any time together.
I have said to her that if doing that means so much to her, why can't she get up an hour earlier and finish an hour earlier, but she says she can't do that. She says she'd just fill that extra hour with more work.
So I'm wondering why I'm having to sacrifice because she can't get up earlier.
