It's all in the title. My fiancé has a cat, I am severely allergic to cats, have asthma, and her cat is poorly trained. He's a Scottish Longhair (I think). He's a great cat with a nice personality, but he jumps on everything, counters, dining tables, on our toilets, on our bed, my office desk (if someone forgets to close the door) and he sheds EVERYWHERE. She also picked out a velvet sofa and velvet chairs, in black, so you can see the stuff, everywhere. She doesn't brush him regularly and he's been infested with fleas and ringworm for almost a year now. I finally took the cat to the Vet myself seeing as she wasn't going to do it to get him meds and treated, so hopefully that stuff's going away. I've been living with this Cat for 3 years. I had the conversation with her before, but she "forgets" to groom him daily. From what I've researched, these cats need daily brushing. I wrote her a nice ChatGPT doctored message, because however I'm communicating doesn't seem to be work, we'll see if she'll respond but knowing her, she'll probably leave me on delivered for a few hours, then respond with "sure, ok!" and then the cycle repeats itself. I really can't take this anymore; I feel like the cat has to go or I do if this continues. AITAH for telling her I really can't take this anymore and she has to do something about it, or is this just what it's like living with a cat?
P.S. Yes she's been struggling with depression since she was a kid.
