I (22F) recently got gift money from my older brother and dad for Eid holiday (it's an annual tradition every Eid). This money is only for me to spend on whatever I wish for outside of basic necessities. Recently my mom (54F) have been I and out of the house using a car Lyft service for outings and a relative's engagement party. After the event I wake up the next day after noon because we got back at 1 am the night before and I was exhausted. My mom tells me she took 100 dirhams (around 25-30 US dollars) from my bag. I told her it's fine since we probably needed it for the transportation anyway. Two days after we get back home I ask her politely if she can give me back the money and she says "what do you need it for anyway?". I'm thinking of never telling her if I have money or not in the future in case this happens again. She asks when she notices my bags aren't there on the table (which I usually keep it on a desk visible to whoever enters my room) and why I'm being so dramatic. Am I the A-hole for feeling upset keeping my purses and cash away from her after what she did?
