It was my 25th birthday this past weekend. I had planned to go out with a few friends including my best friend, and she had agreed to stay over as well. She had let me know that she was going to go out with her own friends the day before my birthday and would come to my place once she’s done, which irked me a little but not to the point where it made me upset.

What DID make me upset is that after midnight, when it was already my birthday, she texts me while she’s still out with her friends and tells me she will be a couple hours since she is having fun. I had planned to pick her up when she was done, but she said she was just going to get an uber. I told her to call me when she gets to my apartment. Didn’t even wish me happy birthday, but she was drunk so I tried to get over that. I ended up staying up past 6AM waiting for her to get to my place because I was worried something happened. I tried calling her but she wouldn’t pick up. I didn’t hear anything until about noon where she texted me and said that she crashed at her friends place. She then said that she wasn’t feeling well and wanted to spend time with her family so she wasn’t going to make it to go out with me. I didn’t really respond besides replying “Ok” because I was so mad and didn’t want to get into it with her. I ended up cancelling going out because I was so tired from staying up all night.

I haven’t texted her since. We have had some tension in our relationship recently due to her spending more time with her new friends and not really making time to hang out with me, so this really didn’t help with how ive been feeling. She has sent me a few texts asking if I was mad at her and that I need to stop being immature and say something if I am. Maybe she’s right but right now i’m so upset with her and have been crying non stop for the past couple days. My other friends were understanding when I told them what happened, but I wish I had just went out with them instead of wallowing at home alone. I’m not sure if I did something to make her ditch me, or if I’m making things worse by not responding.
