So I, 24F have been dating my ex BF 24M for 2 years. We met by mutual friends who introduced us and things got romantic from there. I live in an apartment that allows pets and I own a shitzu, Molly (f) who is 4 years old. I love her so much and I never thought my BF would do this to her. I was at my apartment with my BF and dog when I remembered I needed to pick something up from a pharmacy ( probably my inhaler as I have asthma) so I asked my Bf if he wanted to come and he said he was tired so I went alone. He was alone with Molly in the apartment which I thought was ok because they’ve known each other for a while. When I came back from the pharmacy 45 mins later due to traffic I saw my boyfriend eating what I thought was steak. I thought it was weird because I didn’t have any steak in the house but I brushed it off. The next red flag was that I didn’t see Molly. She would always run up to me when I got home but she was nowhere to be seen. When I asked my BF where Molly was he said he didn’t know and he had fallen asleep when I left. I was starting to worry so I frantically searched around the apartment for Molly, and that’s when I saw it. All of her fur was in a pile under my bed there were blood stains on the fur as well. I screamed and I ran to my Bf and asked him if he killed Molly. He smirked, put his empty plate in my sink and left. I texted him an hour later saying he if ever came near me again I’d be pressing charges. I am now 5 months post-incident. And doing much better. So, AITAH?
