We used to be local but I moved away. She has 9, 11, year old boys and 5 year old girl. Starting a couple months ago she has been leaving them home alone, all night long, every night and sometimes the entire day + entire night. Going out and staying with guys, getting drunk, going to places up to an hour away all night long. She’s been drunk driving through all of that too. She got pulled over and made to do DUI road test and somehow got away with it while I was on the phone and she was blacked out. I confronted her about leaving her children and how something can happen and she said she felt really bad and asked me if she is gonna get in trouble for doing it. I told her straight up YES. You are. Don’t do it. Multiple people in our friend group told her this. Well she continued and continued so eventually me and another friend called.. We told them everything and even told them THE KIDS ARE ALONE EVEN NOW. Can someone check on them??

They never even come to her house. I ask them what’s going to happen they say CPS has 24 hours to follow up— but they never do and she’s continuing to DO THIS! It’s 1 am and she’s been to multiple random houses tonight while her kids are alone as usual.

I don’t know what to do now. I feel bad for hoping she has some kind of WAKE UP CALL! Is it just on CPS at this point because why can’t they do their job?? Or AITAH for thinking they need to be involved and I’m blowing it out of proportion ??
