So, for some context my friend has a history of getting upset very easily, knowing this we can continue. Me and my friend were in class talking when the subject of favorite shows came up and when I said "Steven Universe" he made a "are you serious" face and said "I don't like that show, it's so cringe." Which I guess is fair it can be a little cringe but then I asked for a real reason and he said "It always felt really sexist" (if you don't know the show is about a boy who is the son of a human and a member of an alien race that all look feminine but technically don't have genders) (me)"how?" (Him)"there is only 1 male gem (the aliens) while the rest are girls" (me) "they don't have genders they look feminine but they don't all identify as women, if any one is sexist it's you for thinking a species can't be all women" and then the water works, I forgot to mention he also cries a lot (him) "you're making me feel like a bad person" (me) "I'm not calling you a bad person" (him) "but you're making me feel like a bad person" so I just leave him be after a little bit he just acts like it never happened but I was still kinda mad so I didn't talk to him and when the bell rang I left. Thinking back on it I feel a little a holeish but what's your opinion please let me know.
