Edit: please stop commenting saying this post is fake. I know it sounds bad shit crazy, that's because it fucking is. If you're bothered by the post then don't read it.

I,(F 22) and my boyfriend, (M 22) recently got in an argument that ended our relationship.

To preface, my boyfriend and I are both spiritual and pagan. He believes in and worships Greek gods, and that's always been totally fine with me although I dont know much about the religion. Ok, this is where it gets messy.

Last week my boyfriend randomly brings up that his mom thinks that I have "bad and untrustworthy energy" I was taken aback a bit because it was so out of nowhere. I've had many issues with his mom lying to me and generally being disrespectful, but I honestly thought it was crazy that he had mentioned it. It would've been one thing if he had just told me what she said, but he said he agreed with her. I apologized to him and asked what I had done to make him feel that way, and he just said "I don't even know" i was just like "what?" because I honestly couldn't think of a time I'd done anything to make him think I'm untrustworthy. After all of this he says "but it's fine I still wanna date you" I was contemplating ending it because of this, but things got worse before I could think about it.

Now to the breakup. The day after this interaction he texts me this. I will copy and paste the message below.

"Im sorry but aphrodite has shown me that this relasonship wont work out. We can still be friends though"

I thought he was joking at first. I just said okay because after all of this I just felt more uncomfortable in the relationship that I had originally. (There were multiple things that him/his family had done that I'm not going to get into on here)

I asked him the reason why Aphrodite wouldn't approve this relationship (fml) and he said it's between him and the gods. I told him that that's a strange thing to break up with someone for, but alright. Of course you don't really need a reason to break up if you're just not vibing with the relationship, but I thought it was a strange way to break up.

Now I feel bad, did I FU? I'm not talking to him right now, but AITA for what I said?
