Ok so this is kindof dumb but ppl are split on if i was right or wrong. I was talking to my friend about something, I can’t even remember, but this boy keeps like, responding to what I’m saying to my friend like I’m talking to him. I’m not looking at him, I’m not talking to him, he’s sitting at a completely different table than me yet feels the need to be in my convo. I don’t care that he wanted to be in the convo, what bothered me was the fact that he kept interrupting my friend. At some point I got sick of it and turned and snapped at him to shut up so I could hear my friend talk, mentioning that he wasn’t even part of the convo. He gets butthurt and starts calling me dramtic and other things. I told him he was being rude and he needed to be more self aware. He told me I was being too much, that I was overreacting. I told him that clearly no one told him that talking over other ppl was rude. He said that people tell him that all the time. I told him that clearly it never resonated with him as he still acts the same way. This really hurt his feelings and he tried to convince me that I used the word ‘resonated’ in the wrong context. Which if you know any bit of English you’d know that I did use it correctly. In the end my teacher had to tell him and I to cut it out bc he just kept going after me. I just told him he was being rude and to butt out and then just ignored him as he continued to try and be part of my convo. Am I the asshole for reacting like that or is it warranted. Also this is not anywhere near the first time he’s done this, it’s a constant issue.
