I (17F) have been getting some weird packages at my door, messages, calls, and suspecting I have a stalker or mabye just a secret admirer. I do get compliments on my looks, but never had anything like this, and its freaking me out. I told my best friends (17F), (17F) and (20F) about this situation and how uncomfortable its making me.

My friend (20F) whom I will call X has taken an interest in romance books, and recently discovered book tok or wtv its called. She says that she read a book about this scenario and how he must be attractive and thats how some men show interest which I found weird and out of touch, but decided to ignore it. A few days before Easter I got a letter from that person, which I wont get into detail about but overall our future, whom I spent time with, and what I wore outside, which was clearly alarming and finally showed my parents.

I met up with my friends a few days after and showed them a picture of the letter, expressing how weirded out I was, when X said she would be touched for someone to talk that way about her, when I told her that it could be an old man or woman and that her book fantasies are nothing compared to the real world and should get a grip. She then kept quiet our whole hangout and afterwards sent me a long paragraph about me overreacting about this whole situation. One of my friends is on my side, while the other believes X is in the right.

Any advice on how to talk to her could also be helpful, I know I shouldn’t have snapped that way, but I think what I said is also justified.
