This story takes place back in 2018, I was in 6th grade, and for my birthday party me and my friends *Fake names* John, James and Bill went to this game cafe that was going out of business called howies game shack. I had been there for the past 2 years and loved it, so when they were going out of business, they were selling things at cheaper prices, and I wanted a VR headset the vive headset. However, my dad said no, and while I was bummed, I shrugged it off. However, my dad points to the computers and asks how much are you guys selling those computers for. The clerk responded with 800 dollars (400 dollars more than the VR headset), and my dad turned to my brother, who was there at my party, and said, " You're getting a computer." my brother was jumping for joy and looked at my dad, heartbroken and asked him why didn't he get me a gift and he responded with you have a computer and your brother should also get one. ( mine was a 400 dollar Costco 9 to 5 computer where you use it to type all day no ram and a built in GPU on the mother board). so I proceed to ask him do you have my gift at home and he responds with he haven't gotten anything yet. so I start balling my eyes out at my birthday party in front of all of my friends ruining the whole party experience. the next day I ask my parents if they have even gotten me anything and they respond with no we haven't. they then asked me if I had anything in mind. I asked for a new phone ( I had a 100$ lg phone) and wanted a Samsung note 8 which was well with in our budget. they proceeded to respond with you have to pay for half and well get you a refurbished so I used all of my allowance I've saved up to by this new phone. skip forward to Christmas that year. I am ready to start opening Christmas gifts, and I look at the tree. I see that my brother and sister have plenty of gifts, and I'm looking for mine. I see 1, and right as I go to open it, my brother takes it and opens it himself. My 1 gift he opened and it was a Nerf football. I asked my parents if I had done something wrong, and they said no, your phone was also your Christmas gift. So, I started crying and complaining that I had only one gift, and my brother had opened it, and I got put in a time-out. So was I the one who cried when my parents brought my brother a gift?
