My friends were out for dinner at a smallish restaurant. It was busy and we were talking trying to hear each other. We are people that sometimes cuss in conversation. You know how the din of conversation rises and dips in a crowded place (i.e: gets loud then suddenly gets quieter)? Well there was a dip in the volume in the restaurant and my friend was in the middle of a sentence that ended in "f***ing problem." There was an old lady there with family (including a toddler) and got up, came over to our table, and scolded us saying that we can't be cussing in front of her great grandson. I didn't really know what to say, but my friend said something along the lines of this being a public place and it isn't our job to filter ourselves for families with children, and their table was mean mugging us until we left. For context, none of us have children nor want them, and this toddler was the only minor in the restaurant. AITAH?
