Last night, I returned home from the pub after celebrating my friend's 50th birthday. I don’t go out often, but this occasion felt special. My stepdaughter, who is 12, confronted me about being drunk, and I thought she was overreacting. I rarely get a chance to enjoy a night out, and this was my one night to let loose. She was upset because I missed picking her up from a sleepover since I didn’t see her messages. The next day, she took her anger out by tearing apart my wife’s and my bedroom, even breaking a kitchen window. I told her she had no right to act that way, and she responded, “You’re not my real dad, so why does it matter?” In a moment of frustration, I decided to throw away and destroy her makeup (images are attached on my profile to show that it's truly not that bad).
