Like the title says, I ate poop. My wife is really mad and saying I’m disgusting, but my family is supporting me because it was for my health.

I guess I should explain…

I have a rare condition where my natural stomach bacteria is destroyed by my immune system. Fecal transfusion is the recommended course of treatment. These transfusions are expensive, but they are covered by my health insurance plan. Or at least they were until I lost my job last month (thanks, Trump). Anyway, they’re $1800 a pop (a poop?) and I have no health insurance coverage.

So fast forward to this past weekend. I haven’t had a transfusion in a month because I just can’t afford it. We are at Easter dinner at my parents’ house and I gorge myself. My stomach is in pain. I know this is a symptom of my now untreated condition.

Well… my sister is also there with her 7 month old baby…

Long story short, there was a soiled diaper in the spare bedroom garbage can and I figured you know what, if anyone has good gut bacteria it’s a baby. So just as I’m taking a big finger full of doo doo butter and putting it in my mouth, in walks my wife. She flips out and the whole family comes to see the show. I explain the situation but she is not having it. She left in our car and told me not to come home.

So yeah. I’m still at my parents’ place. I called her last night and she said I disgust her and need psychiatric help. My family on the other hand is more sympathetic and my brother in law even offered me more dirty diapers. Plus, my stomach feels way better today.
