I go to a large corporate gym about 5 days a week, and some days see people filming for their social media. Now, the gym doesn't explicitly forbid this, in fact, it kind of encourages it, but they do have a policy stating that filming people without their permission is prohibited. Anyway, I went into the basketball court, and one guy had his phone sitting on the ground pointed at the court and appeared to be livestreaming his game session. When I saw whose phone it was, I tried to ask the guy politely to please not film and was met with obstinance and excuses, after which I told him I'd get the staff if I had to. When the guy refused to budge, I went and got the staff to talk to him. When I did this, he and his friend laughed like I was being ridiculous. Seeing them be so dismissive like this (and then continuing to film after the staff member left, only with the phone moved to a different spot) pissed me off, and I called them both (f-ing) assholes. AITAH?
