I (34f) have been dating my (39m) boyfriend for about a year. We met online in 2024 and have been seeing each other since then with the exception of a 2-3 month break before the high holidays. He is a very strong opinionated Mexican. He is not misogynistic. Right after New Year’s I reached out to him that I wanted to talk to him and we started dating again. At the beginning of our sexual relationship in 2024 I got tested for anything and everything when we got back together in January I got tested again a few days ago. My doctor called me letting me know that it has been three months since last time I got tested and she wanted me to consider coming in. I talked to him about it yesterday and he was completely on board and he said go get tested and I told him I didn’t want him to feel offended that I trusted him and he said no you should take care of yourself go get tested so I went and I got tested this morning. Everything came back OK and him and I were having a conversation mind you, he was very encouraging yesterday, today he lets me know that he is very offended the fact that I went that he understands getting tested every six months but since I’ve been with him, I’ve been tested three times he said that he did overthink everything and that he is offended. He’s very offended, and that it might put a hole in our relationship. So aitah for actually following through and going to get tested?
