📝 AITAH For going no contact with my Mom after she asked me for a kidney?

I have always had a really rocky relationship with my mom. Thats the easiest way to sum it up. Shes the kind of person to help you out and then hold it over your head as if you owe her something. The kind of person who will do or something HORRIBLE, apologize with theatrics, and then do it again as soon as she is given the chance.

Now that you have an idea, AITAH for blocking her and going no contact after she called me randomly after not speaking to me for months and asked me for a kidney?

The conversation legit went:
"Hello?"
"Hello, daughter."
"What do you want, mom?"
"*Scoffs* Just like that? No how are you? Ok. I want a kidney."
"Excuse me?"
"Im dying. I need a kidney."
"HAH. Fuck off."

And then I hung up and blocked her.

Weeks went by and I finally hear from my dad. He tells me my mom called him (they're divorced) and said she was all upset because I'm ignoring her. He tells me she said she "made a joke and I blew it out of proportion".

During all of this I had not heard anything from my sister. We don't talk much, shes busy with school and honestly she's a lot like my mom. But I finally decided to text her and all I said was "Did mom ask you for a kidney, too?" Her response was "Uh... Not directly?"

To me, that says she knows whats happening. I suspect my mom was pulling some strange and fucked up test to see if I deserve to be on her will. She is ALWAYS threatening to take me out of her will and I am always begging her to do so. But for my sister to just... Let her lie about something so horrible? And just... Go along with it?

Anyway... They're both blocked now and I haven't spoken to either of them since November of 2024. I want to feel bad, I wish my sister wasn't falling into the same patterns as my mom. I guess I'm just hoping for some support, even if it's from strangers on the internet.
