📝 Aitah for kicking out an employee?

Very simple situation I am the assistant manager at the store I work at. I've been co-training this girl for 5 days and it's been pretty tough. Manager does most of the training, when he's not available it's up to me to keep an eye on her.

Every single time I've made a suggestion or try to show her anything, She gets really defensive. Acts like she knows what she's doing and I'm the dumbest person she's ever met.

Then later I hear from one of my coworkers that she said if she's ever scheduled just me and her she'll walk out because she doesn't want to work with me.

Well we got scheduled together yesterday. Just her and me. So I approached her and I said "hey I've been told that you don't want to work with me, I was told you said if we were scheduled alone together you would walk out. Is this true? If so this is concerning to me. As the assistant manager, I want to have a good relationship with our associates and if I've done anything to offend you or if I've come across condescending or better than thou in any sort of way I want to address that."

She blew up on this whole tirade about how I'm lazy and useless and she's going to take my job and I'm a loser and all this shit. Like super personal. Then she said, "but because you're so useless as an employee I need to stay today and help you because otherwise everything will fall apart."

Again I am the assistant manager, this was 5 days into her working with us.

I was flabbergasted honestly. I had no idea what to do. I really wanted to flip out and start flying off the handle like a crazy person. But I took a deep breath and all I said was "if that is the case, Go home. We can talk about this later if you wish, I will be telling (manager name) what had happened today.

And then she tried to say she wasn't going to leave. I told her I would write her up unless she went home and luckily that worked, she went home.

I worked the whole shift, ran the store by myself, no issues whatsoever. Luckily it was our least busy day and before she started I was working it alone anyways.

I texted my manager and I got written up for sending someone home without checking with the owner which I think is totally bullshit.
