Context: Work in small convenience store., Some a-hole customer clogged up toilet in store and I could not get unclogged using plunger or snake. I have not used a snake before so I must have spent close to 25 minutes feeding it thru but with shitty luck. Ended up having to flush some of backwaste down another toilet using bucket from back and threw it away afterwards.

I wound up calling maintenance to get a date for looking at it this coming week, and mopping/thoroughly cleaning both these bathrooms best as I can, staying an hour past my shift with said clog left unresolved.

Out of guilt, I ended up going to 2 different stores and bought replacement plunger and bucket with $25 of MY OWN MONEY. Left receipts on manager desk who is only 3 weeks in to a transfer from an old store coming into this fiasco and already had stressful week. I'm still losing sleep posting this thinking I could've done something better, but I almost think I made it worse going out of my way to replace tools and making situation more complicated inserting my own funds to try to resolve this.
