So, I (20M) was told by my mom not to let my sister (22F) go out with her friend because she suspected my sister was actually going to meet her boyfriend someone she told our dad she wasn’t dating or seeing anymore.
Following my mom’s request(which she made it clear to both of us me and my sister to not leave the house), I went and locked the door and hid the key. I knew my sister had her own key, but for some reason, she kept pressuring me to unlock the door. She said she didn’t want to feel like she was “sneaking out.” Then she started lying, claiming she had lost her key and couldn’t find it anywhere even though it was in her bag the whole time.
I didn’t open the door for her, and she ended up calling me "the most disgusting human ever."
I could’ve forced her to stay or actually blocked her from leaving, but I’m not that kind of guy. So eventually, she used her own key to unlock the door and left anyway. She didn’t come back until late.
I honestly hate being caught in the middle of her dramas. I don’t like forcing her to do anything or making her feel bad, but I was following my mom’s orders. And in my religion, obeying your parents is something we take seriously.
It just sucks to go out of my way for someone and still get called names for it.
