Hey everyone!
So here’s the situation: I (29F) live alone with my cat, Mr. Whiskers (the real MVP of the household). He’s got a pretty cushy life—plenty of toys, catnip, and a steady diet of high-quality kibble. Recently, though, I had a hilarious realization.
I was working from home last week, and after a long stretch of meetings, I decided to take a snack break. I normally grab some chips, maybe a cookie or two. Suddenly, I hear Mr. Whiskers meowing at me like he was auditioning for a role in a soap opera. The dude was absolute drama.
So, in an attempt to calm him down (and kind of just to be funny), I whipped up an "Emergency Snack Kit" for him. It included:
I was feeling pretty proud of myself until I posted a picture of the kit on social media. My friends started calling me an “over-the-top cat mom” and one of them even said, “Is Mr. Whiskers training for the Cat Olympics?”
Now, I’m starting to second-guess myself. Was this a playful gesture of love, or did I go way too far? AITAH for making Mr. Whiskers his own snack kit like he’s some kind of feline celebrity?
Let me know your thoughts! (And if you think Mr. Whiskers deserves some sponsorship too, I’ll gladly pass it on!)
P.S. He loved the kit, by the way.
