šŸ“ AITAH for making a joke that my friend took as meaning I was going to kill their dog?

For context me and friend 1 and friend 2 negatively joke and say stuff like ā€œI will find youā€ or ā€œIk where you liveā€ as a joke, it’s our type of humor around eachother. We all have known eachother for more than 2 years and this is a bit random but I sing and post covers so it’s an inside joke that I have a really high pitched voice and singing voice.

30 minutes ago we all were on a call when me and friend 1 said to friend two we knew where they lived as a joke. It’s a constantly brought up thing also That friend 2 would be safe because of their dogs. I mentioned saying ā€œalso I can sing really high like a dog whistleā€. I said my voice was so high pitched that their dog would die. Obviously I was joking about my voice and not seriously saying I’m into MURDERING DOGS. Friend 2 got really upset and was like ā€œwhat the fuck?!ā€ So I explained how I misused the word but that I meant it as a ā€œomg I’m going to die from this headwave without ACā€ instead of ā€œI’m going to murder your dog hahahaā€.

I’ll write the rest as dialogue:

Friend 2: you’re not allowed in my home ever again OP.

Me: friend 2 you took it the wrong way I’m not being literal.

Friend 2: I know I took it the wrong way, and that’s how you speak, but putting ā€œdeathā€ and ā€˜my dogs’ together means I’ll take it the wrong way.

Me: ok so we agree that you took it the wrong way? Why am I not allowed in your home ever again?

Friend 2: because you said that, you joked about my dogs death.

Me: but I never did? I’m not going to apologize because I don’t have a reason to. This is stupid…

Friend 2: you know what you can leave.

Long story short friend 1 wants me to apologize and both of them are upset with me.

AITAH?
