📝 AITAH for making a sick classmate put on a mask?

I (20f) attended a university lesson this morning and sat next to my classmate, fake name: Jason (m19). Jason had a severe flu, he was coughing and sneezing almost every 10 seconds. Thing is, he did not cover his mouth when he coughed and never turned his body away to cough. He was essentially coughing right into my hair and the side of my face. After a while of this happening I lost my temper and asked him to put on a mask (which I provided him with a mask). Jason refused and played it off as if I were joking, he claimed that it was “uncomfortable to wear a mask”. This made me even more annoyed and I told him that I did not care, either he put on the mask or I would. This embarrassed him as he must have realised I was serious and our conversation attracted the attention of others sitting near us. He has since been avoiding me ever since.

I have a poor immune system and fall sick easily (despite being up to date on all my vaccines) hence I am more cautious about hygiene. I wash my hands regularly, wear a mask when visiting crowded spaces and such. It irks me when I meet people who are sick but choose not to protect others from getting infected, but I might have massively overreacted in this scenario. AITA? should I apologise to him?

side note: I understand that some people with medical conditions might have difficulty breathing with a mask but in this case Jason had no medical issues, his reasoning for not wearing the mask was just out of comfort. In the past he has also refused to take medicine to recover quickly and would instead show up to school unmasked and severely ill, he claimed that lozenges were a replacement for tablets and pills, and preferred to take lozenges as they “ tasted better”. He infected me with some variation of a flu just last month, which also caused my harsh reaction today.
