For context since I was 10 (17M) I have been taking care of my siblings and any pet we had. I have been cleaning making sure stuff stay in order. Anyways yesterday I was in an argument with my sister (other story on page) so I sent my mom a 5 minute voice note explaining the situation telling her how I called the police because my other brother was swinging on me with a knife and my sister was spitting on me and pushing me around. All because of a situation that I’m not going to get into because I made a whole story on that.

Anyways my mom got very upset that I called the police because she wasn’t there and she’s going to get in trouble, and I started freaking out I was like “I was in danger and your worried about you getting In trouble” and she was like “you always do this you just randomly freak out for no reason” so I told her if Im always starting these problems I might aswell move out.

About 10 minutes later I hear my brother crying, and he normally isn’t the cryer type. So I asked him what was wrong and like I expected he didn’t tell me, so I decided to throw in an option, I asked if it was because I was leaving or because he’s just stressed out, he told me because I was leaving, I reassured I would never be leaving because of him, or anything he did.

Ever since I’ve left I’ve felt so guilty, because half my family told me I was being dramatic and I shouldn’t have pushed it so far because he made my brother cry. I’ll I could do was stand my ground.

So AITAH for making my brother cry by being “to dramatic” or was I really being dramatic?
