I (20M) and my girlfriend (22F) have been together for about 9 months now. Both of us aren't in the same financial situation in life and I feel bad sometimes since I can see that she struggles to afford a lot of things, especially schooling since her mother recently passed and her relatives wanted her to get a scholarship instead of paying her tuition. She said she couldn't go back to school because she was grieving her mom and worked in some other ways.

However, there has been a recurring problem in our relationship where whenever we go out, I always pay the bill. This happened even when we first started dating and even before her mom passed. There are many times that I cover the bill and she tells me she'll pay it back, but she always never remembers. She keeps on borrowing money and conveniently forgets about it that I can't even begin to keep count. She’s a lovely person though, but her vices (vaping) and binge eating turns me off from wanting a future with her. This resentment keeps on building because I feel like I'm being taken advantage of, not to mention that she didn't really get me anything for Valentine's and my birthday.
