I 19f and my fiance 20m (lets call him nick) are currently engaged and planning our wedding. We've been talking with our families about how we want the wedding done because we are very particular. I've been very adamant i want a dry wedding and Nick agrees because neither of us can drink and it's not the environment we want at our wedding. We've also been debating going child free. According to my mother I'm being extremely selfish and it's ridiculous to expect people to sit through my wedding sober. I think that's insane and anybody who is only coming to my wedding for alcohol shouldn't come. Here's where I might be the AH.. I have an older brother 22m who is "autistic" (i use the term very loosely because he never got a real diagnosis and my mom uses it as an excuse for his awful behavior and he's part of the reason I want a dry wedding) I will not be inviting him. He despises large events and has made every important event in my life about him not to mention he's the golden child and all my mom talks about and I really just want my wedding to be about me. Sorry if this is all over the place it's just a very upsetting situation but AITAH?
