So I (26F) and my bf (26M) have know each other since we were toddlers and have been together since we were 16. We lost touch for a few years and in that time, I ruined my mental health. I was friends with this girl called 'L' and she destroyed my life. At the time I wasn't really into knowing my sexuality (I was a child) but she was and so, I dated her. It was fine at first because we were young and it didn't matter but, things changed quickly. She started wanting inappropriate attention that I won't say but I think you get it. I (of course) said no yet, she didn't take no for an answer.

After that I broke up with her but for some insane reason stayed "friends". She started asking for sexual things still saying "that it's fine because we're just friends". I didn't know what I was getting into and said sure. She started letting her friends use me too,saying because I broke her heart I need to pay for it. I don't know why I stay but I did until, I got a boyfriend. He was awkward and quiet, someone I needed. But once I said I was with someone, things went south fast.

She started asking for things from him (number, notes and stuff) which is normal so I didn't care. In October I had a party for Halloween with no parents. So of course things went wrong. People were drinking,smoking and doing the devil's lettuce. Just not okay stuff so I stay on the parent mode. Then I heard something from my room. I walk in and there is L and my Bf doing it ON MY BED! I was heart broken and screamed at the, why? She said I deserved it for not giving him all his needs. I walked out a took the first bottle of alcohol I saw.

After that, I started stealing Alcohol from my parents like it was a normal Tuesday morning.Which brought on the SH started. I did my chest and thighs because I thought it wasn't enough. It got really bad and it was noticeable. One day I needed to SH and did it at school on my wrist but a teacher saw. That was the first time I saw my dad cry. After that I got clean and went to a different school, leaving my old life behind. That's where I reconnected with my now Bf.

He was really happy to see me and totally had a glow up since I saw him last. He was sweet and gentle but I felt like I didn't deserve him at first. After a while I got close enough to tell him my story and I've been in love with him ever since. Back to now, we where having a date night and being all lovey dovey at a local calm bar (nothing crazy) . He had a beer and I had a tea (I don't drink anymore). We were just talking and saying sweet nothings. Then I hear a voice "Oh my god!is that you?". It was L.

She has gain a lot of weight and looked like a man. My Boyfriend didn't know who it was but, knew I was uncomfortable and ask her to leave. She laughed and sat right next to me saying she was an old friend. I was frozen in fear I didn't say I word so, my boyfriend bite his tongue and sat down angrily. She drank a lot (cocktails) and laughed at stories of me being a drunken mess. My boyfriend kept saying he knows but loves me anyway and just looked pissed. I said after a some exhausting minutes,I have to go to the bathroom and I left . When I come back, my worst nightmare comes true. L was kissing my boyfriend.

After not even a millisecond, He punches her in the jaw and starts swearing bloody murder.He sees me and runs to me apologizing like crazy and saying what happened in a scared but angry voice.he said she start saying how much of a hooker I was and that I can't wear anything nice from my scars and that he deserves better.

Of course, he gets mad and walks away.he walks off saying that he knows my past and loves me for me that my scars are beautiful and a least I have less scars than L's chins. She then runs (or tries) to him and forces her self on him without hesitation. As we left she was saying in a drunken manner That she deserves a boyfriend and I don't from breaking her heart. One of my friends said I should I have told him it isn't okay to punch her like that and should Have talked it out or maybe contacted her to see if she's okay. So I have to ask AITAH?

Also sorry for not putting paragraphs! I’m new to the app and was trying to write it fast because I had a dinner with my parents before.
