I am the second youngst girl in my family. My family has that 'traditional' dynamic where my dad is the provider so he doesn't clean or cook, unless he wants to, my uncle and older brother do absolutely nothing.

Although my dad is the breadwinner, he doesn't pay for anything. My unemployed mom pays the bills for the money she borrows from people and when ever she asks my dad to pay for something he complains.

My mom recently got a small job working at a daycare and she comes home late multiple times a week. So me and my older cousin-sister are left with cooking sometimes. So today I was in my room studying my butt off because I have a paper to write in mid May (re-teaching myself everything).

I decided to take a nap only to be woken up by my mom yelling at me asking, why I didn't cook. I told her that I was studying, took a nap and woke up just now. She didn't care and went on to say that I should have cooked, mind you I know damn well that the other people in this house didn't get yelled at.

She exited and I here pots and pans rattling. So reddit AITAH for not cooking dinner
