My wife (41f) went on a weekend trip with her sister and some friends. My wife and sister in law got into an argument over something very petty after some drinks. Wife calls me asking me to come pick her up because she’s ready to leave. After we hang up the phone, my sister in law calls me to tell me her side of the story and that it’s not a big deal. Wife has been drinking and overreacted to something she said. Sister in law apologized to her and tried to squash it but wife won’t let it go. I call back and tell wife that I talked to sister in law and wasn’t driving an hour to come and pick her up. She can ride home in the morning as originally planned. She says okay I’ll take an Uber but I need you to get it for me. I told her to just go to her room and sleep it off and that she’s being immature at this point and to let it go. AITA for refusing to come and get her and for telling her I think she’s being immature? She sure seems to think I’m taking sister in laws side and that I “don’t have her back.”
