I (19F) live with my parents, as it makes life much easier for being a full-time student. I have a health condition which causes chronic fatigue and chronic pain, both of which make it difficult for me to keep my room clean. Whenever my mum (late 40s F) enters my room, she makes demeaning comments about how messy it is, pretty much without exception. I've expressed multiple times that these comments make me feel bad about myself, but she never stops. She's also generally a bit of an AH to me regarding my health, doing stuff like intentionally touching my pain spots or making fun of how slow I walk even though she knows it's because I'm in pain.

We have family coming from overseas in a couple of days who are going to be staying in my room. My mum came downstairs and knocked on my door, then tried to come in. I keep my door locked most days to keep her from barging in. I told her she can come in if she makes no mean comments about the messiness, to which she said she wouldn't, but when I asked her if she promised she started diverting the conversation, saying it was urgent because they were coming really soon and she had so much to do. We went back and forth like this for a little bit until she said "just let me come in so I can see how bad the damage is," and that made it clear to me that the chance of me getting through to her was almost zero. I replied with "unless you can promise that you won't say anything mean, then no." After expressing her frustration, she left.

It isn't even that bad right now because I've been trying to put in extra effort to keep it clean, but recently I've been having a bit of a rough time at university which has made me revert a bit. She doesn't know this, however the last thing I need right now is her comments, even if she doesn't know she's kicking me when I'm down.

AITAH for not letting my mum in? I geniunely have no idea. I have family coming soon and I can tell she's feeling very stressed about it, but I also can't keep letting her be a jerk to me all the time.
