So I was watching Peaky Blinders with my partner. There was a r*pe scene that I found rather disturbing. Halfway through, I got up and left the room telling him I couldn't watch it because it was just too troubling for me. I told him to keep watching and just tell me when it was over so I could come back.

He didn't. He turned the tv off and then basically told me that I'd "ruined the show" now and that I shouldn't have overreacted so much (I was literately like "blergh, gottagobye", no yelling, no dramatics). Now he refuses to keep watching it with me because of this. I am very confused. AITAH?
