Before replying to this, please note I feel really really bad about this, and need some advice. Recently I, (55M) and my daughter "Tracy" (18F) went to eat at some friends place, when we were eating, my daughter suddenly grabbed my hand and ran outside with me, saying she was having an allergic reaction. My daughter has a reputation for being a hypochondriac. Since her face wasn't swollen and she was breathing normally, I assumed it was a panic attack. But she insisted she was allergic to something. I froze, because I didn't know what to do, and I didn't know whether to believe her or not. Then she started shouting at me, saying "Dad, why aren't you doing anything? Do something!" And I didn't. She ran inside and asked my friend Alice, (58F) to help with something, and soon she felt ok.
Next day, my wife "Linda" (54F) told me that Tracy had a scar on her lip. Tracy has been really depressed, and though I did apologize, she still seems mad at me, and everyone, although she says it's fine. What can I do? I feel awful
