My mom moved into a guest unit of my apartment for this month since she went through a break up. She asks my husband and I multiple times a week to walk her dog while she is out at real estate showings (she plans to buy December of this year and is just “learning the lay of the land”). My husband works full time from home and I have a very full schedule as well+have a chronic illness so I really value my down time. I do not want to walk her dog anymore because it’s rude of her to ask us so much but the dog also is so cute and never did anything wrong. He would be home alone 5-8 hours at a time if it weren’t for us helping. Am I the asshole if I start saying no? Also worth mentioning she refuses to hire a dog walker because she thinks leaving the dog for 8 hours by himself is not the end of the world.
