I 17M and my friend 16M went out to the mall to watch a movie. After we finished the movie we decided to walk around the mall to get something to eat or to buy a thing or two.

While I was in line to order food from a restaurant, my friend came up to me randomly and started speaking in an “anime” voice, shouting out phrases such as “SUGOIIIII!!!!” or “DATTEBAYO!!!!” etc. I was understandably (at least in my opinion) embarrassed due to people staring at us so I pretended to not know him. When I received my order and went to sit down with him to eat he continued talking in this voice and was occasionally even loudly moaning despite children and families being around us.

Afterwards I forced my friend to come outside where I started seething at him for his outrageous acts in a public mall where he bitterly defended himself -still in an anime voice- so I just decided to leave to save my dignity.

He then got mad at me for not wanting to go out with him despite his actions which completely embarrassed me and he wouldn’t talk to me. AITAH??
