I am 17 yr old female living with my mom and grandma, and we are not very financially stable especially with their spending habits. (They like to spend money we don’t have) Naturally this causes them to not be able to afford necessary costs like food, hygiene supplies, and sometimes even rent!! I am the only one in this house who’s working currently, (a dollar over minimum wage and only 15hrs a week) and they constantly ask me to buy things for them, stating they’ll pay me back. Which they do, but I’d rather them spend and save responsibility instead of constantly having to owe people money bc they borrowed it. Tonight for example, my grandmother asked me to buy all of us dinner. I said I suppose i could, but I’m not comfortable with having to do this all the time. Of course this turned into them calling me selfish and uncaring. I just feel like they shouldn’t depend on me for basic needs because I’m the child🤷‍♀️
