📝 AITA for upsetting my mom because I asked her to stop making grossed-out faces at my food?

My mom doesn’t like foods with a lot of sauce or anything that smells like seafood. A week ago, I made dinner with ground beef and a lot of sauce, and she made a disgusted face and asked, “What is that?” Since she’s done that before, I told her she always makes my food seem gross. I said it in a tone that showed I was annoyed.

Then today, I was preparing a dish with tuna and she did it again, so I told her the same thing. She started crying, saying, “I can’t say anything to you because you are always saying that,” but honestly, I’ve only said it twice.

She’s been dealing with some issues at work and has been a bit stressed, so I asked her if something was wrong—because her reaction seemed a bit much for what I said (she’s usually not like that). She just kept saying no, no, no… but she was crying a lot! It was really strange. She ended ignoring me to avoid the conversation.

And yes, I apologized.

AITA? Or what should I do?
