I just got engaged and am trying to make a guest list for the wedding. For over a year now I’ve been saying I don’t want my stepsisters there because I have no relationship with them and they cause many problems. The other night my mother said I have to invite them or she won’t contribute money to the wedding. I said that’s fine with me I just don’t want them there and rather save the 5-6 seats for people I talk to. (My stepsisters are older than me or the same age. We have never lived together and really only see each other on holidays.) my fiancé doesn’t want them there either. My mother is now mad at me and I don’t really want to budge. AITAH for not wanting to invite them?
