I’ve been dating a guy off and on for about two years now who is insufferably insecure. Like constantly demanding reassurance, going through my phone consistently since day 7 of our relationship, wanting me to text him 24/7 and be with him nonstop when we aren’t texting. I have broken things off probably 10 times now because of this. Of course each time he begs and pleads for me back with promises of change etc, only to go almost immediately back to suffocating me. I keep explaining to him that’s not my type and he promises things like therapy etc to correct it but never does anything. We were friends for about a decade before we pursued anything romantic, so we have continued hanging out here and there, but i still really have no interest in getting back together. AITAH for refusing to re-enter a relationship with him?
