I am graduating college in a couple of weeks, and I would like to have some senior photos taken so that I can have some memories of my college experience and to celebrate the hard earned achievement of graduating. I do not receive my cap and gown until a couple of days before the ceremony, so I would just be taking pictures with my stole and dress until the day of the ceremony. my mom told me last week that she would like to take some today, because it was going to rain all weekend and my dad would be taking the photos because he’s a professional photographer. my mom can be overwhelming about certain things, especially when she has a plan in her head and it doesn’t happen the way she wants it to. I know from previous experience with my high school grad photos and many other things.

this morning when I woke up, I looked in the mirror and hated what I saw. i am usually confident even though I’m not a supermodel looking girl, but today I was just hit with this wave of sadness like I wasn’t pretty enough to be taking photos. I knew that if I were to take pictures today that I would hate them, and told her as such. now she’s mad because she wanted to have these pictures of me and she had a vision in her head of what she wanted to happen, but now it’s ruined. she’s been sulking on the couch and not speaking to the rest of our family since I told her I didn’t feel like taking pictures today. should I have just done it anyway, aitah?
