TW: Sexual harassment, swearing.

So I (15, f2m trans) was encouraged to try and use public restrooms at my high school. I was uncomfortable with that for many reasons, including past trauma and the fact that I’d have to use the women’s room. Because of that, I tried to create a bathroom schedule that required minimal trips at school, and for the most part, it worked- but I still had to change after P.E., and I was more comfortable in the bathroom than the locker rooms, so I decided to change there.

One day, I was changing, and a group of girls came into the bathroom. I thought nothing of it and kept changing. I heard one of them say, “hey I left something in that stall”, and then someone knocked on the door. I said, “give me a minute”, as one would, and continued changing. The same voice said, “c’mon it’s right there, just give it to me!” At that point I looked up, and this motherfucker was peeking over the top of the stall at me, who was at this point completely naked. I screamed at her to stop fucking looking at me, but she didn’t and pointed at some makeup bag I hadn’t noticed before and said “gimme that.” I yelled, “get the fuck away from me!” And hurled the closest thing I could reach (which happened to be my jacket) at her, making her drop back down.

I quickly finished changing and gathered up my stuff, planning to go straight to a teacher and tell them what happened. But when I opened the door, the whole group of girls were there, and they immediately started shoving me and yelling at me for attacking their friend. I screamed “don’t fucking touch me” and “leave me alone” on repeat, until one of them grabbed my breasts and I punched her as hard as I could. She didn’t go down but she stumbled back, and I was able to get the attention of a teacher.

The rest is a blur, but I had a breakdown and couldn’t stop crying and blubbering that they touched me. I know I was defending myself, but did I go too far? AITA?

TLDR: Girl peeked at me in the bathroom, I threw my sweater at her, got shoved around until I threw a punch.
