Me (M17) and my boss (M70's) had a bit of a falling out today, and I can't tell how I feel about it. For some backstory, when I first got this job, my boss and I would sorta bond over this kiosk at the mall that always sold the funniest things. They would constantly have a new owner selling some new crappy product, one week it was knock off NES's, and the next it would be Turkish lamps. We always thought it was super funny cause nobody ever bought them, and so the kiosk constantly went out of business and switched owners.

Fast forward to this previous week, the kiosk begins selling that "Dubai chocolate" . The one filled with green stuff. I saw it on TikTok, and showed it to my boss, and he offered to go pick some up on his break. It was $15 a bar, and so I venmo'd him $7.50 to cover half of it, when he came back from his break though, he only had his lunch in hand and no chocolate.

He told me he didn't want to pay for it, and it was way too expensive. I was caught off guard because he knew the price because he said he would buy some, and I had already sent him the money. He told me he would send it back, but venmo transfer takes a few days to get all the money back into your account.

A week passed and he didn't send me the money back, I confronted him about this, and he got mad at me, saying It wasn't a big deal, and with all the time I wasted at work sitting around or going to grab food, I was basically paying him back for the losses the company endured cause of time wasted. I was so shocked I just walked out, completely baffled that who I thought was a nice guy would treat me like that. I don't know if I said something bad or have been a bad worker or why he would treat me so poorly and not pay me back.

So AITAH?
