So I (19M) had a good friend (also 19M) who is also my college roommate. We got along well in the first semester hung out, talked a lot, shared stuff. But come second semester, he suddenly started ghosting me. I don’t think I did anything major to upset him. The only thing I can think of is maybe I talked too much and disturbed him sometimes he’s quite emotional and sensitive, so maybe something small really got to him.

Anyway, it’s been about two months now with zero communication from his side. Recently, I couldn’t find my nail cutter and thought he might have one. I opened his drawer to look for it and saw a diary. Curiosity got the better of me and I ended up reading a bit of it hoping maybe it’d explain why he ghosted me.

There wasn’t really anything in there about me, just a bunch of emotional outbursts relating to academics. Now I feel kind of guilty, I just genuinely wanted to understand what happened. Still, it was his private journal.
