I don't really know how to use Reddit so the format of this might be terrible and I want some other opinions on this. This will just be a blob of text I write in one go. If you are expecting some sort of really interesting story just skip this post because this is not it. I am using a burner account because I don't want this tied back to me. I will try not to have any bias here and tell it exactly how it occurred. I am currently typing this on my laptop that I never use.

I am a 16 year old boy with a normal life, I go to school, have friends, and have a lot of stress currently because of homework and school as exams are coming up soon, so nothing to worry about. I do however like to play video games when I have some free time like today. I got a bit of a break from school work as I just finished a major project so I got on my Xbox. So, a few hours ago I was playing a video game called Rocket League at my Xbox, I'm gc1 for anyone who knows about the game and is curious this is a high rank in the game, so I take it seriously when I play. I was in a ranked game when this happened and the game was in over time. My mom does not play the game herself or any video games if that matters, but she has seen me play before enough to know that I was in ranked and it was overtime and that I was playing seriously and did not want to loose. She came up to me to thank me for picking my brother up from school earlier because she couldn't get him as she was at tennis. This is not the first time something like this has happened, it is the 4th if I can recall correctly. I have somewhat long hair, so when it is pressed down it hinders my vision a decent bit so that the top half of my vision is a bit fuzzy when I press it down if that makes any sense. I had my headset on, so I could not hear what she was saying at the time if I wasn't paying all my attention to her and none on the game. She knows that I cannot hear her well when I am playing the game and have my headset on from previous events. So she goes and starts pressing my hair down and ruffling it while I am playing in a ranked overtime where the next person to score wins, again she knows this, apparently she was thanking me for picking my brother up like I already said but I could not hear her well. The first time I simply verbally told her to take her arm off and not to touch me because I had almost just conceded a goal to that. Then she kept doing it anyways. I then took her arm off my head with not much force and told her again not to touch me while I am playing and that I can talk to her after. She then proceeds to put her hand back on my head and press down and ruffle my hair even harder. At this point I am upset so remove her hand with a bit more force just because I was trying to get her hand off quickly, it was not close to the amount I would need to hurt her in any amount. She then attempts to do it again so I try to remove her hand before she can do the same thing, however my dog happened to jump up on my chair at the same time so my hand hit my dog first and without realizing I hit my dog I followed through to remove her hand. I did not hit her very hard at all, kind of like the equivalent to a dad ruffing the dog for a second just to say hi type of force. I immediately apologized for hitting my dog, she was completely okay and seemed like she thought I was petting her because she was wagging her tail before and after, and I said that it was an antecedent. I had now also moved her hand. So in a smug tone he calls my dad over and in between that event and when my dad got over I did happen to score and win if anyone cares. My dad then proceeded to take my Xbox power cord and my phone after listening to what my mom told her happened which she made it seem like she just touched my head for a second and was just trying to be nice and thank me for bringing my brother home, she also described it to my dad as me hitting my dog and her really hard. She of course did not say that I had already asked her to move her hand before and when she didn't I gently did it for her. So yeah my dad took my phone and my Xbox power cord, which I do not blame him for doing after what he was told. This is not the first time my mom has pulled this stunt. It has happened about 3 times before and they all ended with me loosing my phone and Xbox for at least 2 weeks. They were all similar situations where she had some sort of excuse of her thanking me for something to come up and do the same only while I am playing. The first time it happened I told her to move her hand and she didn't so I moved it for her, just like what just happened and the same result occurred. However, the first time I told her not to touch me again while I was paying and she shouldn't touch me in the first place if I don't tell her she can,which she avoided responding to. I also told her that if she needs something from me while I am playing that she can wait until I am done as the games are only 5 minutes long. I made it clear she should not do that again and that I can't hear her well while playing. Each time when she did it again she always called my dad in the same smug tone. I always remind her that even while I am not playing she should never touch me without my consent. However this time when I reminded her of this she laughed in my face and said "I can touch you whenever I want and I don't need your permission". I don't know if it is just me or not but I wouldn't blame you if you don't believe she actually said that. I then because I was angry and I know I shouldn't have said this because I was just trying to get under her skin a bit to go reflect on what she did and why she was wrong and shouldn't do it again. She then told me that she was in the right and I was in the wrong. I then corrected her and told her the opposite. She then walked off laughing. I do not know why she repeatedly does this, because other than this our relationship is usually good. I would appreciate any feedback and who is the asshole or if it is both of us and why.
