This happened a few years ago but I'm still not sure if I was in the right. Keep in mind we were in our early teenage years.

I was a very self conscious kid when I was younger the one thing that helped me gain confidence in myself was my small YouTube channel where I played video games, I was very small and only had around 100 subscribers. My friends often teased me about it which I took as a joke. We had been friends for 8 years.

One day I decided to experiment and do my first live stream, every thing was going well and I had a decent audience watching me play. My friends we're in chat as well it wasn't until about an hour in that things started to get weird. A new person joined my chat and stated my name and age neither of which we're public knowledge. I stopped streaming. That's when I noticed the profile picture of this person was of me, I couldn't tell earlier because it had a very high saturation filter. I obviously didn't want my face online.

I texted my best friend who we will call Turtle and asked if she knew who it was because I was obviously freaking out. After pressing her she admitted that it was our friend Penguin (Fake names ofc) Penguin thought it was just a funny prank that was harmless, I explained that she put me in danger but she didn't seem to care.

I told my mum about what happened and she immediately contacted Penguins parents. This caused Penguin to be extremely upset with me, she often gossiped to the others behind my back afterwards about how ugly and annoying I am, and a lot of things I shouldn't repeat. She said I was over reacting and was being an A hole for ratting her out over something so minor.

I had enough of this girl as she had caused trouble to me before by sending me NSFW images. I decided despite all the good memories I had enough of her, I cut her off without telling anyone, I felt bad thinking maybe it was something minor after all and it wasn't worth to lose those years of friendship.
