Ok I know it sounds weird but I (16F) am from a Latin American country and there’s this meme of a guy saying CINEEEE all jolly and happy when he walks into a movie theater and then he immediately spills his popcorn everywhere. It’s a whole joke now that if you say cineeee at the movies you’re destined to spill your popcorn. It’s like a prophecy or something.

Now the other day me and my friends went to see a movie and as we were walking down the stairs to our seats I said CINEEEE in the exact same tone, you know for the culture. And I KID YOU NOT like it was written in the stars or some cosmic joke, my friend (let’s call her Anna) straight up SPRAINS HER ANKLE and TUMBLES down the stairs like a ragdoll, popcorn flying EVERYWHERE. It was like a whole movie scene, slow motion and everything.

And listen I get it, okay? But IT. WAS. HILARIOUS. Everyone was laughing, I mean, EVERYONE, even people who didn’t know us. I swear some dude in the back was wheezing. And I thought Anna would laugh too because come on, it was textbook comedy. WRONG. This girl stands up and it’s like the gates of hell opened. She was RED, TREMBLING, looking at me like I just committed a war crime. She starts SCREAMING at me, calling me an ugly slut (rude??) and saying how I “ruined her life” and whatever. She was jumping up and down like an unhinged maniac, flipping her hair and all

And I was like GIRL CHILL. But she just kept going, and at that point, I kinda lost it and told her to stop acting like an insane biatch and reminded her that this behavior was exactly why her boyfriend cheated on her with a guy during spring break last year. I mean not my fault if the truth hurts, right?

Then it just turned into an all out screaming match. We were yelling, people are staring and security comes in and kicks us out. And now all my other friends are mad at born of us because apparently we “ruined the night” and got everyone banned from the theater. And now Anna is telling everyone that I “intentionally” made her fall (??? Like I control the laws of physics now??) and that I’m a horrible friend.
