For some context: my parents had a horrible divorce, nothing particular happened though, and my dad took all the thousands of digital family pictures as we stored them on his computer. But before then, we'd actually had a pretty regular, very happy childhood, and lots of family pics, videos, etc... thousands.

I graduate soon, and I have been asking for the pictures for years (i want them!). He's always refused, saying he doesnt want them to "get back to mum".. which seems so ridiculous and mean imo.

I've decided to give an ultimatum - he can come to my graduation, if he gives me digital copies of all the photos.

I want him to come to see me graduate - i dont want him to value some silly battle with my mum over seeing me graduate. I also want the photos. AITAH? I dont think so lol but canvasing opinion cant hurt.
