I feel like shit when I think about this. I was 18, just into my engineering, watched my friends having costly phones, them talking about snapchat instagram and shit which I have absolutely no idea at that time still having that FOMO and hating my dad for being poor.

One day I was talking to my crush for first time and this guy comes up and lays his hands on my crush and does the sweet talk (apparently they are dating which I had no idea at that time) and shows off the new iphone he just got.

I felt terrible comparing his phone and mine( I was using a keypad phone then) and even his clothes with mine and when I went home that night I had this argument in which out of fury I slapped my father and broken a tv.

I saw my father crying coming out of the bathroom that day. I thought he was a loser back then. Feeling like shit.
