So, I (24M) have been close friends with "Sarah" (23F) for about three years. We hang out all the time, watch movies, grab food, and just vibe. Recently, I’ve started noticing something… I really like her feet. Like, a lot. They’re just perfect—small, high arches, always painted cute colors. I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

Last weekend, we were at her place watching Netflix, and she had her feet up on the couch. I figured, Hey, we’re close, why not be honest? So I said, “Hey Sarah, I gotta tell you something. I kinda love your feet. Like, they’re amazing.”

She froze. Just stared at me like I’d grown a second head. Then she pulled her feet away, tucked them under a blanket, and said, “Dude… what the hell?”

I tried to explain it wasn’t a big deal—just an appreciation!—but she got super uncomfortable and asked me to leave. Since then, she’s been distant, replying with one-word texts and avoiding hanging out.

Now I’m torn. On one hand, I was just being honest, and it’s not like I made a move or anything. On the other, maybe it was weird to say out of nowhere? AITA here?
