I (15M) told my girlfriend (14F) that I will be leaving on a trip for a week where I can use absolutely no technology.
I am a part of the LDS Church which often reflects on certain things in the past such as when the pioneers travelled throughout states. Certain parts of this church have an event where they allow youth to participate in a mini "Trek" activity for a week. They say you must not bring anything electronic, not even a toothbrush. I had just realized this last night and told my girlfriend "Hey, I forgot to tell you, I will be leaving on a trip for a week where I am not allowed to use my phone to text you." I also mentioned that this was not for a few months, therefore we still had time. She read the message and responded with "Thx for the warning ig." to which I replied, "I'm sorry, are you mad?" and she just said "night." I explained to her that I did not mean to spring it on her like that, I was just giving her a heads up so she wasn't pissed off when I left. The only reply I received was a thumbs up when I asked if she was really ghosting me. I do not understand what I said that was wrong, since this would be a few months out and all and we still had time together, and besides the trip was only a week.
So AITAH for telling her about this trip?
