So this has been an issue with my mom for a while where my mom starts a fight and then refuses to admit she started it and then puts my dad down and apologizes to us for my dads behavior. In this case, we were talking about movies when my dad brought up how he was excited for the new Fantastic Four and my mom interjected with how she said she hated all Marvel films. This was weird since she has not seen them all but claimed she was dragged to every single one which is completely false but continued to double down and even after I politely told her I couldn’t recall her seeing all of them, but I remember her being there for a couple of them but she still disagreed. Then after we got home she proceeded to only say no when my dad asked to apologize for her actions and wouldn’t admit she started it all. This has been bugging me all night especially after she tried comforting me apologizing for my dad’s actions that she started and he only did in response. I tried being polite but I just had to tell her that she started it and she got mad at me.
